Josh and I kind of joke that I have bad luck. I never win on scratch tickets or pull tabs, I constantly enter sweepstakes and never win. BUT then we remind ourselves that both of our kids are healthy and neither had myotonic dystrophy (there was a 50% chance)---and have since decided we are the luckiest people on the planet.

Hi, You don't know me but I found your blog on the web. I hope you don't mind a looky loo but I couldn't help but notice how beautiful your kids are. I saw that you wrote that they don't have myotonic dystrophy. You are so blessed! I gave birth to a beautiful little girl 3 years ago with congenital myotonic dystrophy and that was how our family learned about this awful disease. I would do anything in the world to take this disease away from my sweet angel. Hold your kids tight this Thanksgiving and know how truly blessed you are. You have so much to be thankful for.
Take care,
Lisa
