Is the purple flower Purple Loosestrife? We had one on our shoreline when we moved here. I thought it was very pretty until a neighbor suggested it was an invasive plant and should be removed.http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/invasives/aquaticplants/purpleloosestrife/index.html
What a GREAT shot of the dragonfly.
George, I am terrible with flower names, but I don't think this is the invasive one as I just saw it at the nursery. Marlys...are you out there...do you know what this is?
Hi, Becks! It does look like loosestrife, but your hill top is far from the lake, so it's ok. I have it in my back yard, too, but again, it's not a prob unless it's on the shore of a waterway. (It spreads hardly at all in a flower bed). xoxo!Marlys
